What we do

Everything we do at St Peter’s House is because of who we are and what we believe. The themes of curiosity, encounter and gift run through it all.

  • We understand that we don’t understand – that the world is full of things that we’re curious
  • We believe that encounters with new ideas, people and traditions can give a deeper understanding of what it is to be human.
  • As life is enriched by encounter, we enter into a flow of relationship, community and belonging – we become a gift to those around us.

We are building community

Did you know we have bee hives on our roof? Well, we do – and we’ve learnt a lot from those little buzzers. They work together and need each other. We think we’re not so different. Throughout the week at St Peter’s House there are times to eat together, think together, do yoga, be mindful, pray and head to the pub. There are quiet spaces and places to work or be with friends, there’s our community allotment to look after together. Have a nose at our calendar, drop in to find out more, and become part of our growing shared life at St Peter’s House. Through the regular groups and worshipping communities that meet at St Peters House, and through our own emerging programme and space we are building a new community in the heart of the Universities. Moments for encounter – new people, new ideas, new ways of seeing the world. We bring together thinkers and do-ers, and we have curious minds. Follow us on Twitter or Facebook for the latest on all our events, and keep an eye on our calendar. If you have a bright idea that you think would fit into our programme, get in touch and let us know!
