Introducing our new Chaplain – Jide Macaulay

We are absolutely delighted to announce that Reverend Jide Macaulay has been appointed as a Chaplain at St. Peter’s House. Jide will work alongside the existing team and will focus on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and developing contextual forms of Christian community.

Jide will be starting with us at the beginning of June and we are looking forwards to him joining the team. Here is a bit about him:

Jide is British-Nigerian born in London, a Christian minister since 1998, Anglican Priest, inspirational speaker, author, poet, pastor and preacher, HIV Positive Activist, holds a degree in Law, masters degree in Theology and Post-graduate certificate in Pastoral Theology.

Jide trained at Westcott House Cambridge in 2011 and served his curacy in the Diocese of Chelmford. He also studied and served in Nigeria at the United Bible University and in the USA at the Pacific School of Religion giving him a broad knowledge of cultures within diverse theologies. Jide shares a history of diverse Christian experiences to include African Indigeous churches, Pentecostalism, Inclusive church and Anglicanism.

Jide focuses his ministry on inclusion and reconciliation of sexuality, spirituality and human rights. He is the Founder of House of Rainbow and until recently he was the Chief Executive Officer, former Board of Trustee at Kaleidoscope Trust UK, co-founder and former Africa Representative at Global Interfaith Network. Currently Chairperson INERELA+ Europe, Patron at ReportOut, Vice Chair One Voice Network, HIV – Mentor at Positive East, Nominee British LGBT Award 2021 – Top 10 Outstanding Contribution to LGBT+ Life, nOSCARS Award winner 2014, 2017, 2018, Volunteer Chaplain at Mildmay Mission Hospital and Volunteer Champion at Afruca Children’s Charity.
