Smoky Tomato & Bean Soup

Our smoky Creole spice blend is at the heart of this big flavour soup that turns humble tins into something delicious, notorious and a heart-warming fill.

Recipe Ingredients

½ brown onion – diced
2 cloves garlic – finely chopped
1 tsp mixed herbs – thyme, marjoram, parsley, oregano, sage & basil
½ tin tomatoes
½ tin butter beans
200ml water
½ stock cube

Optional Ingredients

  • parmesan, crème fraiche, chilli, olive oil, crusty bread, butter

Recipe Instructions

Prepare vegetables as above.

Place onion into sauce pan with a little oil – cook over medium heat for 3 – 4 minutes until soft.

Add garlic and herbs to onion pan – cook for 1 minute.

Add the tinned tomatoes, drained butter beans, water and stock cube – bring to a simmer then reduce to a low heat.

Check for seasoning add a little salt or pepper as required.
 
If you have a hand blender you can make this into a smooth soup if not enjoy it in chunky style!
