Open to all Mandarin-speaking students and young professionals, we are a growing community who meet weekly to grow friendships and celebrate our culture and Christian faith. Though many of us are far from home, we find belonging together at St Peter’s House – whilst growing wider connections across the universities and city.
Led by Annie, Mandarin Community meets weekly for a programme of events focussed on holistic wellbeing, and celebrations of social and cultural occasions. Culturally-appropriate pastoral care and Bible-study in Mandarin, and one-to-one care for students and young professionals is also offered to support the transition into life, study and work in Manchester.
Getting involved in volunteering at St Peter’s House – such as in Milk & Honey café – and participating in the Wholeness programme – is also a great way to learn about different cultures, and members of the Mandarin Community are involved through all of our activities. Working and serving alongside people from all walks of life, we become global community together.
